Instructions
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
While the beef is cooking, steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Once the beef is cooked through, drain any excess fat from the skillet.
Pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked beef and stir to combine.
In another small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then add it to the skillet. Stir until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
Add the steamed broccoli to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
Serve the honey garlic ground beef and broccoli over cooked rice.
Notes
Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
