Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • green onions chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, cornstarch, rice vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce has thickened slightly, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Return the chicken and shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  • Serve immediately over rice or noodles.

Notes

Serve this dish over rice or noodles. It's also great with steamed broccoli or other vegetables. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
